The Alocasia brancifolia, also known as the “Elephant Ear” or “Brancifolia Alocasia,” is a striking tropical plant prized for its unique, arrow-shaped leaves with deep green veining and a glossy texture. This plant adds a touch of drama and sophistication to any space, making it a favorite among plant collectors.
Care Instructions:
• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some morning sun. Avoid direct afternoon sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
• Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings.
• Temperature: Thrives in warm temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). Protect from cold drafts.
• Soil: Well-draining, rich, and slightly acidic soil works best. A peat-based mix is ideal.
• Humidity: High humidity is preferred, so regular misting or a humidifier can help maintain optimal conditions.
• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring through summer).
