Astrophytum Cactus (Astrophytum spp.)
The Astrophytum Cactus is a fascinating and unique genus of cacti known for its star-shaped, globular bodies and beautiful, patterned spines. Often referred to as “Star Cactus,†this plant’s distinct appearance makes it a favorite among cactus collectors.
• Light: Prefers bright, direct sunlight. It thrives in full sun, which helps maintain its compact, star-shaped form.
• Water: Water when the soil is completely dry, and avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot. During the winter, reduce watering significantly, as the cactus goes into dormancy.
• Soil: Needs well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to avoid water retention.
• Temperature: Thrives in warm temperatures between 70–90°F. It is sensitive to frost and should be kept in a location where the temperature stays above 50°F.
• Humidity: Tolerates dry air and prefers low-humidity environments, making it a great choice for indoor or desert-like conditions.
• Pet Safety: Non-toxic to pets, making it a safe plant for homes with animals.

Beautiful and healthy looking!! So happy! A couple of the tips broke off during shipping but it was wrapped wonderful and not at all the fault of Blossom + Branch. Just occupational hazard.
