Ananas ‘Cathy’ (also called a dwarf pineapple bromeliad) is a fun tropical plant grown for its spiky foliage and tiny ornamental pineapple fruit. It adds a bright, tropical look to shelves, patios, and sunny windows.
Light: Bright light to full sun. The more light it receives, the better the color and growth. A sunny window or outdoor summer patio works great.
Water: Water when the top portion of the soil feels dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never soggy. Reduce watering slightly in winter.
Pet Safety: Considered mildly toxic if chewed and the spiky leaves can irritate mouths and paws, so it’s best kept out of reach of curious pets.
This compact pineapple plant is easy to grow and makes a unique conversation piece, especially when it produces its tiny decorative fruit.
