Hoya cumingiana ‘Albo’ (Variegated Hoya cumingiana)
A rare and highly sought-after variegated form of Hoya cumingiana. Unlike many hoyas with large, thick leaves, this species has smaller, narrow leaves and grows as a dense, bushy plant. The creamy white variegation adds extra interest, and mature plants produce clusters of fragrant yellow flowers with a spicy, cinnamon-like scent.
Care
- Light: Bright indirect light; a few hours of gentle morning sun can help maintain variegation and encourage blooms.
- Water: Allow the top 50–75% of the potting mix to dry before watering.
- Humidity: Average household humidity is fine, but 50%+ is ideal.
- Temperature: 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from temperatures below 55°F.
- Soil: Fast-draining, chunky mix with orchid bark, perlite/pumice, and potting mix.
- Fertilizer: Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced fertilizer.
