The Ficus shiveriana is an exotic and striking variety of Ficus, known for its large, broad leaves that have a bold, textured appearance. Its distinctive dark green foliage with a slight sheen adds a dramatic touch to any room, making it a fantastic statement plant for plant enthusiasts.
Care Instructions:
• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sunlight. Too much direct light can cause leaf burn.
• Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch. Reduce watering in the winter when the plant is dormant.
• Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C).
• Soil: Well-draining, fertile soil is best. A mix with organic matter works well.
• Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity, so occasional misting or a humidifier can be beneficial.
• Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer), about once a month.
