Hawaiian Palm
Despite its common name, the Hawaiian Palm is not a true palm. This fascinating succulent develops a thick, swollen trunk topped with a crown of lush green leaves, giving it a palm-like appearance. Native to Hawaii, it is a unique and eye-catching addition to any plant collection.
Light: Bright light to full sun. A sunny window or grow light will help maintain healthy growth.
Water: Water thoroughly when the soil is mostly dry. Reduce watering during periods when the plant naturally drops leaves.
Humidity: Average household humidity is sufficient.
Temperature: 65–85°F. Protect from temperatures below 50°F.
Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix to prevent root rot.
Growth Habit: Slow-growing with a swollen trunk (caudex) that stores water and supports a rosette of leaves at the top.
Pet Safety: Not considered pet-safe. Keep out of reach of pets and children, as the sap may cause irritation.
