Epiphyllum ‘Shark Fin’ is a tropical epiphytic cactus with dramatic, fin-like lobed stems that trail beautifully from shelves or hanging baskets. Unlike desert cacti, it naturally grows in trees in rainforest environments and prefers a bit more moisture and humidity.
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. It can tolerate a little gentle morning sun, but avoid harsh direct afternoon light which can scorch the stems.
Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess drain. It prefers slightly more moisture than desert cacti but should never sit soggy.
Pet Safety: Not pet safe. Like most cacti in this family, it can cause irritation if ingested.
A unique, architectural plant that brings bold texture while still being surprisingly easy to grow indoors.
