As it matures, its elongated leaves develop a distinct key-like shape. This climbing plant thrives in bright, indirect light and appreciates a moss pole or trellis for support. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. It prefers warm temperatures (65–85°F) and moderate to high humidity. Toxic to pets, so keep it out of reach. Just picked up a brain cactus from this delightful little shop, and I’m convinced I’ve increased the IQ of my plant collection by at least 40 points. This twisty little genius is the perfect blend of quirky and charming—like if Einstein were a succulent.
