St. Gaya Pitcher Plant (Nepenthes ‘St. Gaya’) is a colorful tropical carnivorous plant with vibrant red-speckled green pitchers that hang gracefully from its vines. These pitchers lure insects inside with nectar, then trap and digest them. A hybrid between Nepenthes khasiana and Nepenthes ventricosa, it’s known for being hardy and adaptable, making it a great choice for beginners.
Light: Bright, indirect light
Water: Keep soil evenly moist with distilled or rainwater; avoid tap water
Pet safety: Non-toxic, but not intended for consumption
With its striking pitchers and cascading growth habit, the St. Gaya is both a functional insect trap and an eye-catching display for windowsills, hanging baskets, or terrariums.

Just picked up a brain cactus from this delightful little shop, and I’m convinced I’ve increased the IQ of my plant collection by at least 40 points. This twisty little genius is the perfect blend of quirky and charming—like if Einstein were a succulent.
