String of Rubies (Othonna capensis ‘Ruby Necklace’)
String of Rubies is a fast-growing trailing succulent loved for its vibrant purple stems and bean-shaped leaves that turn deep ruby red when exposed to bright light. Its cascading vines make it perfect for hanging baskets and shelves, while cheerful yellow daisy-like flowers add an extra pop of color throughout the growing season. Easy to care for and drought tolerant, it’s a beautiful choice for both beginner and experienced plant collectors.
Light: Bright indirect light to several hours of direct sun for the best ruby coloration.
Water: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings.
Pet Friendly: No – considered toxic if ingested by pets.
