The Poisonii Euphorbia (Euphorbia poisonii) is a rare succulent shrub native to West Africa. It’s known for its thick, fleshy stems that can grow tall and spiny, and it produces a toxic, milky latex sap (common to many Euphorbias). This sap has historically been used in traditional practices but is highly irritating to skin and eyes.
Light: Requires bright, direct to strong indirect sunlight.
Water: Very drought-tolerant; allow the soil to dry out fully between waterings.
Pet safety: Highly toxic to pets and humans if ingested; its sap can also cause skin and eye irritation.
This unusual Euphorbia is best suited for collectors who enjoy rare, dramatic plants and can handle it with care due to its toxicity.
